In January 2019, QC United was awarded a United Women’s Soccer (UWS) franchise that competed its inaugural season in the UWS West Conference in 2019. The team participated in the UWS West Conference against Calgary Foothills, LA Galaxy, Santa Clarita Blue Heat, and Colorado Pride. The team finished the season with 2 wins and 6 losses. The team was competitive in every match and offered a tremendous opportunity for many local female athletes to continue their development over the summer months against top female athletes in Canada and the United States.
On February 24, 2020, the Queen City Untied Soccer Club's Board of Directors made the difficult decision to suspend QC United's participation in the 2020 UWS season. After comprehensive discussions, it was determined the Club is not currently positioned to make the necessary financial, time or personnel commitment required. It is the Club's intent to return for the 2021 UWS season; however, a formal decision will be made by the Board of Directors at a later date.
