U11 athletes in the Excellence Stream train 3.75 hours per week, whereas U11 athletes in the Competitive stream train 2 hours per week. The other major distinction between the streams is the Excellence stream is a full year commitment (October - July - 40 weeks of training with periodized breaks built in) with intake once per year in the fall (athletes can enter the program throughout the year but only if space is available). The Competitive Stream has 2 distinct seasons indoor (October - March) and outdoor (May-July). Intake for the Competitive Stream occurs prior to each season.
