Position: Staff Coach

 

QC United operates in Regina, Saskatchewan and offers programming to more than 700 athletes between the ages of 18 months and 18 years old. 

 

We are looking for an experienced soccer coach who will focus on the holistic development of our athletes and positively contribute to the success of our organization. 

 

Terms of Employment:

  • 8-week term position (May 10 - July 9, 2021)
  • 35 hours per week. Typical schedule will be Monday to Thursday from 1:00-9:00pm and Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm; however, schedule may vary. Schedule includes a 60-minute unpaid lunch break.

 

Wage:

  • $15.00-$17.00 per hour depending on education and experience.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • On field and administrative component.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering an appropriate range of soccer focused activities and programs.
  • Deliver on-field sessions following the curriculum and Game Model developed by the Club.
  • Utilize coaching resources and software to help plan and manage training sessions and match play.
  • Deliver additional training programs offered by the Club (ie. camps, community outreach events, etc).
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Competencies and Skills Required:

  • A criminal record check with vulnerable sector screen is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License with access to personal vehicle.
  • Canadian C License or international equivalent preferred.
  • Must have experience as a coach and/or player.
  • Possess an understanding of Canada Soccer’s Long-Term Player Development.
  • Ability to take direction.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey information to players, parents/guardians and Club personnel.
  • The ability to communicate in English both orally and written is a requirement.

 

A variety of administrative opportunities and responsibilities will be assigned; however, these are contingent on the applicant’s knowledge, skills, and abilities.  Desirable skillsets in any of the following areas include: 

  • Business Development
  • Club Operations
  • Creative Services
  • Graphic Design

 

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

  • In-office and outdoors
  • Ability to lift, carry and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 5 hours consecutively).
